It's July!

Did you know that July was renamed for Julius Caesar, (who was born July 13th, 100BC). It was originally called "Quintilis" (Latin for fifth), since it was the fifth month in the ancient Roman 10 month calendar.
July 2nd is also the middle of the year! There are 182 days before it and 182 days after.
Of course Independence Day is on Friday, July 4th! Which celebrates our Declaration of independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain in 1776. Nearly every other country also commemorates some type of "Independence Day" in their own way.
The first man walks on the moon July 20th, 1969.
July 26th, 1788 New York State became the 11th state of the Union.
